About Ngutu College

Ngutu College is an independent school in South Australia that is committed to supporting educational change for all children.  The school first opened its doors in 2021 with Reception to Year 7.

The school integrates Aboriginal knowledge and the Arts into a curriculum that is fully compliant with Australian curriculum requirements.

The curriculum has been developed in collaboration with Aboriginal Elders and specialist artists and the operation of the school is guided by a Cultural Governance Group.

Ngutu College has since added pre-school and Year 8 classes and will continue to grow progressively through to Year 12.

Why did we invest?

  • To enable Ngutu College to open.
  • The team behind Ngutu College have vast experience in providing a fit for purpose educational model accessible to students.  The student mix includes (but is not exclusive to) students identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and neurodiverse children.
  • Potential for replication. Our shared objective is that if Ngutu College can prove the long-term success of its approach, we can extend learnings to other communities in Australia, and potentially globally.
