Previously, Harvey was Chief Financial Officer of Challenge Bank Limited, a Western Australian regional bank; Executive Director of listed-investment company, Chieftain Securities Limited; and Chairman of Navitas Limited, Bankwest Limited and HBF Inc.
Harvey has also held Board roles in other industries including telecommunications, electricity and mining services.
Jan has spent her career working at the intersection of individual, organisational and societal change as an entrepreneur, innovator and social sector leader.
She has extensive experience as a Director and is Co-Chair/Convenor of Learning Creates Australia; Co-Convenor of FoyerInvest Consortium; and Chair of Cool Australia.
Jan is Founder & Principal, AdaptabilityQ: working with innovative leaders and organisations on strategy, innovation & systems change. She is the co-author of Every Childhood Lasts a Lifetime (1996) and The Future Chasers (2014); and Host of the New Work Bites Podcast.
Paul leads Save the Children Global Ventures, the in-house team at Save the Children responsible for taking innovative finance and new technologies to scale.
He is also an experienced corporate lawyer having worked for international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills providing advice on capital raising, M&A and private equity transactions.
He co-founded wishlist.com.au, one of Australia’s first e-commerce companies, and has helped establish, fund and lead a number of international and Australian start-ups across multiple sectors.
Paul has served as a senior advisor to two Australian Prime Ministers; was Deputy CEO of World Vision Australia and, for nine years, served as CEO of Save the Children Australia. He led the creation of and is a founding director of Save the Children Australia’s impact investment fund.
Amanda has more than 35 years’ experience in the mining industry, both in Australia, Africa and Canada – working for Blue Chip miners such as BHP, Rio Tinto and WMC.
Amanda founded Kirrikin, a social enterprise sharing profits with artists, and joined forces with industry specialists to form Warrikal, a mechanical maintenance business.
She is on the Board of the Waalitj Foundation, Curtin University Business School Advisory Board, Curtin University School of Health Sciences Advisory Board, and a number of other small Indigenous focused boards.
Amanda is from the Wonnarua nation – traditional owners of the Hunter Valley in NSW.
Michael is the Chief Finance Officer for Save the Children Australia.
Michael has over 20 years’ experience in finance and has held senior roles across a number of sectors including commercial, not for profit, education, health and government.
Prior to Save the Children Michael has led transformational projects as the Director of Corporate Services at the City of Greater Geelong in technology, customer experience, public private partnership infrastructure and policy reforms. He has lead strategy for change at the YMCA of Victoria as CFO delivering a new organisational operating model.
Peter brings to the Board his more than 37 years of experience in financial services both in Australia and overseas.
He is an experienced Director, holding Board positions, including as a Director and Chair of Judo Bank, Chair of the Centre for Evidence & Implementation and Fintech for International Development.
Peter is also on the Advisory Boards of Drummond Capital Partners and Planum Partners, and a member of the Trinity College Investment Management Committee.
Huy arrived in Australia in 1978 as a boat refugee and has since developed a diverse entrepreneurial and social impact career. Huy began his career as a consultant with Boston Consulting Group and has 20+ years of experience investing, improving and exiting growth companies. His experience includes Founder and CEO of Wishlist.com.au, CEO of Carter Holt Harvey Tissue AFH, CEO of Jurlique International, Venture Partner of Champ Ventures and founder of Yarra Capital Partners. Most recently, Huy successfully exited his insurance company ALI Group where he was a major shareholder and CEO.
Huy currently manages a portfolio of interests across private ventures, public equities and funds. On the social impact front, Huy is the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Thrive Refugee Enterprise, a not for profit providing small business funding and business planning support to refugees.
Richard has over 25 years’ experience in investment management, infrastructure, real assets, private equity and commercial law.
Richard is currently Senior Portfolio Manager – Global Real Assets at Australian Retirement Trust and was previously the Chief Investment Officer at State Super. Prior to this he worked at Deutsche Bank Asset Management.
Karen is an award-winning executive and growth leader in the digital, technology and start-up industry, using her experience in driving reinvention and transformation to help the world’s biggest brands to stay ahead of disruption.
Karen launched Peloton in Australia and was the Managing Director of Spotify Australia & New Zealand. While Karen was CEO for CareerOne, the company was awarded a spot in the coveted BRW ‘Top 50 most innovative companies’ list in 2014 and sold for over $50m two years later.
Karen provides corporates and start-ups with commercial growth, product and transformation support. Karen has been recognised as UN Ambassador for Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, Nominee for Telstra Woman of the Year, Pledge 1%’s Women Who Lead, Australian Growth Company Awards, Women’s Agenda finalist and Smart Company Women in Tech.
Nick Chia is the Senior Portfolio Manager of Equities and Enhanced Fixed Income at QBE Insurance Group. He’s responsible for managing mandates and fund investments of the Equities and Enhanced Fixed Income portion of QBE’s US$30-billion of funds under management.
Nick has over 12 years of global investing experience across multiple asset classes such as equities, high yield, emerging market, and private credit. He is driven by a passion for growing shareholder value.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.
Mary Sue Rogers is a Non-Executive Director of Save the Children Australia and chairs the Human Resources Committee. Mary Sue is a Non-Executive Director of Women on Boards Australia, Deputy Chair of East-West Seed in Thailand, and sits on the Advisory Board of Aiir Consulting in the USA. In addition to her board work, Mary Sue consults in business transformation, governance, organisation design, mergers, and acquisitions. Mary Sue is a seasoned executive with more than 30 years of leadership positions, from CEO to Partner, in global professional services organisations, including IBM and PwC.
Mary Sue is a certified International Director through INSEAD’s International Directors Program and is an active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Adam Schwab is the CEO and Co-Founder of Luxury Escapes, one of Australia’s most successful ecommerce businesses, with more than 500 employees, operations in four continents and is also the Chairman of Bluethumb.com.au, Australia’s largest art marketplace.
Adam has previously worked as a corporate lawyer specialising in mergers & acquisitions at Herbert Smith Freehills.
David Do is a proven management professional with a strong track record in private equity.
David is currently a Managing Director at VI Group, a Vietnam focused Private Equity firm with over $600 Million under management. VI Group has investments in technology, media, education, healthcare, consumer services & logistics.
David was previously a General Manager at Microsoft where he led Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Investments, Joint Ventures and Post-Merger Integration. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of MSNBC, CNBC, ninemsn and companies in China, Australia, Mexico and the Middle East. He was an Independent Director of Wotif (the largest listed Online Travel Agency for Australia, New Zealand and SE-Asia) acquired by Expedia for over $700 Million.
David was a member of the Founding Team at EachNet, the leading Chinese e-commerce firm which was acquired by eBay for $225 Million. David has also worked at The Boston Consulting Group and JP Morgan. David has an MBA from Harvard University. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.
